With the two oranges left in the basket I made some delicious biscuits, for snack time they all finished them immediately

For a long time now, I've been making my own desserts for snacks and breakfast, and with the arrival of autumn, oranges have become a staple on my table. I came up with these little cookies, which always sell out in a flash.

Baking cookies has become a way for me to unwind after a long day at work, but also an opportunity to take care of my loved ones by preparing a tasty snack that satisfies their taste buds.

It's no coincidence that with the two oranges left over from last week in the fruit bowl, I decided to make an incredible dessert: biscuits perfect for dunking, ideal for breakfast and also perfect for a snack.

Delicious biscuit recipe: all you need is two oranges.

With the arrival of winter, these cookies have become the centerpieces of my home. It's a quick and easy recipe that allows me to make a truly incredible dessert. Plus, there's one very important detail to keep in mind: you can never go wrong with these cookies... they'll be gone in a flash, and not even a crumb will be left on the tray! Here are the ingredients we'll need to make our cookies:

  • 550g flour
  • 200g butter
  • 200g sugar, the zest of two oranges
  • 100ml of their filtered juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 generous teaspoon baking powder

Let's prepare orange biscuits together

Let's start by taking a bowl and adding the grated zest of two oranges, the softened butter cut into pieces, and the orange juice. Then, start mixing with an electric mixer. Mix until creamy, then add the eggs and vanilla extract. Next, add the flour and begin kneading until the dough becomes smooth and compact.

Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about two hours and, once ready, move on to making the cookies. Take small portions of dough and shape them into balls, then roll them in powdered sugar. Finally, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 15 minutes.

Once the cookies are ready, let them cool completely before enjoying them. Store them in an airtight container, away from heat and light, and they will stay soft for about seven days.
