Savoury pita bread

Savoury pita bread

Ingredients
  • 2 pitaleipää (Pirkka) tjms.
  • savulohta
  • lehtisalaattia, ohueksi suikaloituna
  • muutama tomaatti siivu, per leipä
  • kevätsipulia, silputtuna
  • tilliä, silputtuna
  • majoneesikastike................
  • 6rkl paprikamajoneesia
  • 2rkl siracha majoneesia
  • 2rkl perinteistä salaattikastiketta
  • 1rkl sitruunasta puristettua mehua
Method · 15 min

Split the breads. Moisten them thoroughly and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, etc. Place the salmon between the breads.

Heat the pita breads in the oven at 200 degrees with the grill on. The package says a few minutes, but I like them to get a little color and crisp up. I put them in a cold oven already ready and take them out when the surface is a little browned.

In the meantime, prepare the mayonnaise mixture and the other ingredients.

Add the remaining filling ingredients and mayonnaise between the hot bread slices. This amount of mayonnaise is enough for three slices of bread.

I liked it, but it lacked the so-called kick. I should have added more real onion or garlic or both, and it would have been delicious. What's more, if it doesn't turn out to be "the best in the world" now, maybe with the next experiment.
