Apple and banana waffles – the best recipe without sugar

Ingredients · Servings 6 pieces
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 apple
  • 2 No (Gr. M)
  • 50 ml rapeseed oil
  • 200 g wheat flour (type 405)
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 75 ml milk (alternatively: plant-based milk)
  • A little oil for frying
Method · 30 min
  1. For the batter, peel the banana and mash it with a fork. Wash the apple, dry it, and peel it if desired. Finely grate it on a kitchen grater. Beat the eggs until creamy, then slowly pour in the oil and continue beating. Stir in the mashed banana and apple. Mix the flour and baking powder, then alternately stir in the milk.
  2. Preheat the waffle iron and brush it with a little oil. Bake the batter in batches in the waffle iron. Place the finished waffles on a wire rack or serve immediately. Cooled and stored in an airtight container, the waffles will keep for at least two days.

Apple and banana waffles

My apple and banana waffles make the whole family happy. They're so delicious and packed with healthy fruit. Nobody can resist them!

Besides that

You will need: fork, kitchen grater, mixing bowl, hand mixer, measuring cup, waffle iron, brush, cooling rack.

I like to bake a double batch of waffles and freeze some. To defrost them, I simply put them in the toaster – and then I have fresh, crispy waffles.
