The first Cloth restaurant has been a huge hit and now the same team are opening a second place, this time taking over what was Simpson's Tavern, with some dishes paying homage to that classic restaurant.

Following a fire at White City, sushi master Endo Kazutoshi is making his new home in Chelsea, with a 10-seater omakase restaurant on the ground floor and a listening bar above.

In a nutshell: The Beaumont expands.

Pearl is the latest opening from The Beaumont, but this time it's taking over a new space in Brown Hart Gardens in front of the hotel, with chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen in charge of a Mediterranean restaurant.

The Prince Arthur quickly became a successful Belgravia pub but now they're moving to Chelsea and converting it into a Basque restaurant as part of the move (although they will have a bar upstairs).

Coming from the same group behind Kricket and Lina Stores, this is opening up on the 19th floor of Locke hotel in Canary Wharf, where an ex-J Sheekey chef will be in charge of a "deliberately unfussy" Mediterranean menu.

The team behind Zephyr, Lagana and Nina have are opening this new Persian restaurant and it's going to be their largest opening in London to date.

After 20 years in Borough Market, Roast has decided to open a second restaurant, this time in Shoreditch. Expect a menu of British dishes and yes, there will be a roast beef dinner.
