iGulu F2: Smart brewing for fresh beer and sparkling coffees and teas

Many home brewers face the same set of obstacles: complicated setups, scattered instructions, and a steep learning curve that can make a first attempt feel intimidating.

“Home brewing shouldn’t require years of trial and error to get right,” said Zhangshu, CEO and founder of iGulu. “With F2, our goal was to give people a system that’s as easy to use as any kitchen appliance, but with the precision and control of professional-grade brewing, so every batch, from your first to your fiftieth, comes out the way you want it to.”

Brew beyond beer, one machine at a time. F2 covers five brewing categories in a single device: craft beer; orchard, mead, and wine; live-culture ferments such as kombucha and kefir; sparkling creations including tea, coffee, and mixed drinks; and an open-ended fermentation lab for vinegar, rice wine, sake, and more. Instead of buying separate equipment for each beverage, users can unlock new brewing experiences on the same machine as their interests grow, addressing a common complaint with single-function brewing devices that limit long-term exploration. This multi-beverage positioning is central to F2’s role as a home brewing system rather than simply a beer machine.

AI-guided brewing, from recipe to chilling and serving. New brewers often don’t know where to start, which is where the F2’s AI Brewing Assistant comes in, recommending recipes, answering brewing questions, guiding users through supported controls, and helping them navigate the brewing process with greater confidence. Paired with RFID recipe recognition that automatically loads verified recipes into iGulu Brew OS, F2 guides the experience from recipe selection and fermentation through chilling, carbonation, and fresh serving. Instead of leaving users to manage separate steps and equipment, the system brings the entire journey from ingredients to the first fresh pour into one connected brewing experience. iGulu’s technical documentation describes BrewOS as coordinating the process from recipe recognition through fermentation, maturation, cooling, carbonation, and dispensing.

A growing Brew Kit ecosystem, developed with brewing expertise. For users who want an easier way to get started, iGulu has already introduced more than 20 official Brew Kits, with new recipes continuing to join the lineup. Ingredients are sourced in collaboration with established industry suppliers, while the recipes are carefully developed and refined by professional brewers with multiple industry awards. Each kit brings together pre-selected ingredients and an RFID recipe card, allowing users to spend less time sourcing and measuring ingredients while still experiencing the satisfaction of creating the finished drink themselves. iGulu plans to continue expanding the Brew Kit library with new flavors and seasonal releases, with special brand collaborations also planned for the upcoming crowdfunding campaign.

Precision that professionals rely on. F2 is powered by FermControl™ 3.0, the intelligent fermentation engine inside iGuluBrew OS. It manages multi-stage fermentation programs across a 2-40°C temperature range and a 0-22 PSI system operating pressure range, while coordinating temperature, time, pressure, and oxygen conditions throughout the brewing process. By translating brewing recipes into repeatable control programs, F2 helps users reproduce favorite recipes more consistently from batch to batch, turning processes that traditionally rely heavily on experience and manual adjustment into something more predictable and repeatable.

Freshness without oxidation. An automatic counter-pressure filling system helps reduce oxygen exposure during filling while preserving carbonation, aroma, and flavor. Users can enjoy finished drinks fresh from the tap or fill them for sharing while helping maintain the character of the freshly brewed beverage. The complete F2 experience is designed to extend beyond brewing itself, from ingredients and fermentation to chilling, pouring, and sharing.

Monitor from anywhere. Through Wi-Fi connectivity and the companion app, users can monitor brewing status and recipe progress and access supported controls from their phone, reducing the need to constantly check on the machine throughout the brewing process. The app functions as an extension of the machine’s interface, supporting status monitoring, brewing controls, cooling activation, and brewing history.

Designed to grow with the user, not lock them in. F2 comes with a 5L standard capacity and can be expanded to 10L with an optional add-on module, allowing users to start with a practical home-brewing volume and scale up as their interests grow. The system is also compatible with third-party kegs and supports custom recipes, giving users more freedom to experiment beyond a single ingredient ecosystem. For safety, F2 incorporates three-layer pressure protection, including a passive pressure relief valve, program-controlled pressure relief, and pressure alerts.

Built to last. F2 is designed around food-safe materials, replaceable tubing, and a low-maintenance structure intended to make cleanup and long-term upkeep easier. Over-the-air (OTA) updates allow the system’s software experience to continue evolving over the life of the device.

A system for every lifestyle. F2 is designed to serve a wide range of users and occasions: craft beer enthusiasts building out a home bar, families hosting backyard barbecues and game-night gatherings, health-conscious drinkers exploring kombucha and other live-culture beverages, and coffee lovers experimenting with sparkling creations. For many users, brewing at home isn’t only about the drink itself. It’s also about the satisfaction and story of having made it themselves. This reflects iGulu’s broader approach of moving users from consumer to creator, with F2 designed around creating, enjoying fresh drinks, and continuing to explore new recipes, flavors, and occasions over time.

The iGulu F2 is now live on Kickstarter.
