Square integrates Apple Business to boost restaurant visibility on Apple Maps

Square has launched a new integration with Apple Business, allowing restaurant operators and other local businesses to manage their presence across Apple Maps, Siri AI, Apple Wallet and other Apple apps directly from Square Dashboard, the company has announced in a press release.

“Now it all runs from one dashboard and syncs to the platforms we use automatically, Apple Maps included. That saves us meaningful time each week, which we'd rather spend running the restaurants.”

The integration automatically synchronizes business information, including hours, addresses and phone numbers, while allowing sellers to manage branding and add action links for menus, online ordering, pickup and delivery. The partnership aims to help restaurants turn online discovery into orders while reducing the time spent updating multiple digital platforms.

"With six locations and a menu that changes often, keeping every listing accurate used to be a constant chore," Christopher Tompkins, founder of Broad Street Oyster Co., said in the release. "Now it all runs from one dashboard and syncs to the platforms we use automatically, Apple Maps included. That saves us meaningful time each week, which we'd rather spend running the restaurants."

The integration is available to eligible Square sellers with physical locations across eight countries, including the U.S. and Canada. It follows Square's recent integrations with ChatGPT and Claude, expanding the company's efforts to help local businesses reach customers through AI-powered search and other digital discovery channels.
