Vigo will once again host Conxemar, the International Frozen Seafood Products Fair, which is celebrating its twenty-seventh edition.
The 27th International Frozen Seafood Products Fair, Conxemar, will take place from October 6 to 8, 2026 at the Vigo Trade Fair Institute (IFEVI), this time under the slogan Where Blue Business Happens, which, in this context, could be translated as Where sea businesses are generated or The meeting point of the blue economy, that is, the economic and commercial activities related to the oceans, the sea and fishery products.
Conxemar 2026
Running parallel to the fair, the day before the opening, the Conxemar-FAO-MAPA International Congress (Conxemar – Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations – Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) will be held. Under the theme "Efficiency, intelligence and global standards for a committed industry," it will bring together world experts in the blue economy and sustainability, including an interview with Dr. María Neira, Director of Environment, Climate Change and Health at the World Health Organization (WHO).
And within the context of the fair itself, the program will address a series of main thematic blocks such as:
- Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation, which will analyze the impact of AI, new digital traceability systems and global market standards.
- New Consumption Habits, which will address how consumer decisions regarding seafood products are changing.
- Global Competitiveness and Blue Economy, in which experts will propose strategies to achieve balanced competitive conditions on an international scale and responsible use of ocean resources.
