Evelyn’s Opens its Doors With Steak Tartare and Towering Sundaes
Evelyn’s recently opened its doors at the Hutton Hotel with a focus on modern American fare. The downtown dining room pays homage to Evelyn Sharp, a 20th-century hotelier, investor, socialite, and art collector, with fine art reminiscent of Evelyn’s personal collection.
Evelyn’s, which officially began service last week, will be open daily for breakfast, brunch, and dinner beginning at 7 a.m.
Mezcal takes center stage at Superica
Superica’s Gulch location is celebrating Mezcal Week with a focus on the smokey, agave-based Mexican spirit through unique mezcal cocktails, mezcal flights, and food pairing suggestions. The mezcal cocktail menu shines a light on the complex spirit through cocktails like the Dessert in the Desert made with mezcal, Kahlua, cream, banana syrup, and mole bitters; the Mezcal Margarita with mezcal, triple sec, and fresh lime juice; and The Highwayman, a riff off the Old-Fashioned using mezcal, mole bitters, and coffee beans. Superica’s Mezcal Week runs through Friday, September 15.
Experience a burger-fueled time machine at the Pharmacy Burger
The Pharmacy Burger is taking it old-school with a new burger series called the “Nashville Burger Time Machine.” The long-time local burger joint is paying tribute to classic Nashville restaurants that’ve closed by resurrecting some of their dishes or making a burger inspired by them. The nostalgic restaurants being remembered include Rotier’s Restaurant, Gold Rush, Edgefield Sports Bar & Grill, King Solomon Gyros, Arnold’s Country Kitchen, and Omni Hut. September’s specialty burger honors Rotier’s Restaurant with its famous Rotier’s Burger — a beef patty with extra cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles served on French bread. The specialty burgers in this series will be offered at both the McFerrin Avenue and the Assembly Food Hall locations.
