The 3rd Burgos Black Pudding PGI Route turns Aranda de Duero into the epicenter of Castilian flavor
For the third year in a row, Aranda de Duero is gearing up for one of its most anticipated gastronomic events: the Burgos Black Pudding PGI Route, a tribute to the province's most emblematic product, bringing together 11 establishments in the city.
From November 7th to 16th, participating bars, steakhouses, and restaurants will showcase their creativity in the form of pintxos, tapas, and dishes featuring Burgos Black Pudding (IGP) as the undisputed star. Tempting offerings such as the black pudding "negritón," the Aranda-style cannelloni, the "morciburguer" (black pudding burger), and black pudding and apple textures promise to win over even the most adventurous palates.
Each creation will be paired with wines from the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin, reinforcing the inseparable link between land and gastronomy that defines the region. The price of each tapa or pintxo will be determined by each establishment.
A start with a popular flavor
On November 8th, the Plaza de la Sal will host the official launch event (from 12:00 to 4:00 pm), where a public tasting will be offered to celebrate the start of the route. It's a day designed for enjoyment and sharing, with black pudding taking center stage.
Rewards to savor the experience
During the route, visitors can participate in various raffles and win prizes, including two Sonorama Ribera 2026 vouchers, a ham, a wine tourism experience, five gift baskets of “Burgos Alimenta” products, and three baskets of Burgos PGI black pudding, all through social media. To enter the raffle, simply get at least three stamps on your tapas or dishes at participating establishments and deposit the stamp in the designated ballot boxes.
Km 0 and authenticity
The route reaffirms the commitment of Aranda's hospitality sector to local products and sustainability. Thanks to collaboration with local producers, each dish reflects the most authentic flavors of the Ribera region, supporting both the environment and community development.
A product with soul
Burgos black pudding with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) is much more than an ingredient: it's history, territory, and culture. Its European recognition guarantees a tradition that remains intact, made with spring onions, lard, rice, and spices, in a balance that has won over generations.
