Tesco launches its most indulgent cinnamon bun yet for just £2.25

One particular stand-out to us is its new Rolled & Loaded buns – super sticky and generously iced, these OTT buns are designed to turn an everyday supermarket trip into a proper treat. As an office of cinni-bun aficionados, it's safe to say we're looking forward to trying these.

Available in Tesco bakeries right now, the buns take inspiration from the loaded creations that have been making waves across social media and bakeries nationwide. We've seen cinnamon buns undergoing a meteoric rise in popularity over the past few years.

Once a speciality found in independent Nordic-style bakeries and trendy coffee shops, the swirled bake is now firmly part of the mainstream sweet treat line-up, taking increasingly gooey and indulgent forms. Tesco has already tapped into the craze with its viral tear and share cinnamon buns earlier this year.

The new Rolled & Loaded range offers another eye-catching take on the familiar cinnamon bun, this time in the form of individual buns so you don't have to share. Each soft, rolled bun is filled with a moreish centre, then finished with a thick layer of rich icing and toppings.

The two-packs cost £2.25, with all three flavours also available in single packs from Tesco Express stores. What flavours do Tesco's new Rolled & Loaded buns come in?

There are three flavours in the range, each bringing its own twist to the trend. The Rolled & Loaded Blueberry Cheesecake Buns feature a soft bun swirled with blueberry filling, topped with blueberry soft cheese icing and finished with blueberry pieces. This taps into another big dessert trend we've seen with cheesecake toppings and flavours increasingly being combined with other popular bakes, from brownies and cookies to doughnuts and buns.

We love the idea of fruity blueberry providing a balance to the tanginess of the soft cheese. The Rolled & Loaded Caramel & Chocolate Buns combine chocolate chips and cocoa filling with rich caramel sauce and a scattering of caramelised biscuit crumb bringing some crunch. Those with a serious sweet tooth will enjoy this one.

For a more classic option, the Rolled & Loaded Cinnamon Buns are filled with sweet cinnamon and finished with vanilla-infused soft cheese icing. These look set to be the crowd-pleaser, offering that familiar comforting autumnal flavour, with vanilla soft cheese icing to make them feel like a café-style treat. Another of the new Tesco bakery products we've got our eyes set on is the large Chocolate & Hazelnut Tear & Share , available for £3.50.

Following on from the aforementioned tear are share bun, this seasonal twist pairs a rich, nutty chocolate filling and crunchy hazelnut topping with soft, fluffy dough swirls that are made for pulling off and sharing (or keeping to yourself!).
