Known for their relatively affordable prices, punchy flavours and fresh ingredients, Big Mouth Mala Hotpot is definitely a place you can head to to satisfy your mala cravings. If you’re just feeling peckish, you can order side dishes such as xiao long bao, dubbed Shanghai Juicy Steamed Buns ($6 for five pieces), or Pork and Cabbage Dumplings ($7 for 10 pieces).

Those feeling more adventurous can try the Jalapeno, which is a Mexican-inspired sauce served with pickled chilli slices.

If you’d like something with more carbs, have their Garlic Soy Burger ($7.50), or Incredible Chicken Rice ($7). While the former stars a garlic soy fried chicken patty, chopped lettuce, pickles and onions sandwiched between two fluffy burger buns, the latter features chicken chunks in the flavour of your choice and scrambled eggs, served atop a bed of white rice.
