Sen-ryo Is Now Open In Suntec With Exclusive Platters And Sake On Tap

Following the success of their first outlet at ION Orchard, this marks their second branch in Singapore. This new Sen-ryo sits on the first floor in Tower Five of Suntec City , a six-minute walk from Esplanade MRT Station . Sen-ryo Review: Famous Japanese Restaurant In ION, With Luxe Bentos From Just $15.80++ Sen-ryo has consistently drawn crowds for their value-for-money lunch sets, and high quality, legit Japanese fare.

They were founded in Tochigi, Japan, back in 1999, but are much better known in Hong Kong, where there are 15 Sen-ryo outlets! New to the menu at Sen-ryo Suntec are platters that go hand in hand with their range of sake on tap, including SENSUKE KEGDRAFT Special Junmai ($18.80++) , beloved for its notes of muscat and melon.

What you can expect on the sen-ryo Appetiser Platter ($26.80++) : Wagyu Sando , and an ultra-fresh, meaty Hyogo Oyster with Ikura . As well exclusive to Suntec City is sen-ryo Signature Sushi Platter ($68++) , which comes with 12 pieces of super-luxe sushi, topped with goodies such as hotate, ika with uni, anago, botan ebi, otoro and more.

This platter is definitely for the uni lovers, as the highlight here is the singular uni sushi, topped with a mound of super fresh sea urchin. In line with the exclusive sake selection, which is rotated seasonally, the menu here features tipple-friendly bites. Tsubugai Wasabi ($16.80++) is one, where crunchy, refreshing sprigs of ice plant are topped with tsubugai, AKA whelk, and a wasabi root zest that’s pleasantly bright and aromatic.

Alternatively, consider getting Ankimo Ponzu ($19.80++) , which is marinated in sake and steamed, then dressed in a ponzu sauce. Don’t say bo jio—their Abalone Sashimi goes for just $20.80++ for one whole green-lipped abalone that’s aged for three days after it’s been steamed and marinated in shoyu.

Comfort food comes in the form of Bamboo Shoots ($19.80++) , simmered in a bonito-shoyu broth that accentuates the natural sweetness of the shoots. Go for the Premium Sashimi Platter ($26.20++) , or Deluxe Sashimi Platter ($39.80++) which you can share with a buddy.

Should you only want tuna, there’s Maguro Sashimi Platter ($39.80++) too. This New Sushi Restaurant Has $68++ Omakase With Eight Courses At Great World The Maguro Sashimi Trio Don ($32++) is yet another option you could go for, with thicc slabs of otoro and maguro, as well as negitoro on sushi rice.

Pair it with Sen-ryo Tamagoyaki with Mentaiko Sauce ($2.80++) ! Earlier on a seasonal special, Sen-ryo has brought back Kaki Soy Nabe ($38.80++) , where Hyogo oysters are served in a Japanese soya milk-based broth, cooked hotpot-style at the table with fresh vegetables. New to the line-up of lunch sets at Sen-ryo, and only available at Suntec City, are Saba Shioyaki Set ($15.80++) , Tori Katsu Set ($17.80++) , and Braised Gyu Tan Set ($24.80++) , each paired with chawanmushi and miso soup.

Then, finish the meal with one of their sorbets ($11.80++) , made with fresh Japanese fruit! For more wallet-friendly, yet luxurious Japanese fare, check out Haku Sushi , which offers affordable $68++ omakase at Great World.
