Homemade cottage cheese cream is perfect as a quick snack or a simple dessert. The base is a combination of cottage cheese and heavy cream, which you can add honey and vanilla sugar or seeds from a vanilla pod. If you like the cocoa version, you can also add a little Dutch cocoa to the finished cream.
How to prepare homemade pribináček
For 4 glasses of pribináček from Láda Hruška you will need 250 g of cubed cottage cheese, 250 ml of whipping cream and 2 vanilla (or vanillin) sugars.
- Pour the well-chilled cream into a bowl, beat it with an electric mixer until semi-stiff and add 2 vanilla sugars.
- Gradually add the cottage cheese and whisk until the lumps disappear and the cream thickens.
- Tip: Depending on the resulting consistency, you can gradually add a little milk. Each type of cottage cheese contains a different amount of water, so the pribináček may be too thick. Add just enough to make it soft and creamy.
- Divide the finished dessert into glasses and serve, or refrigerate it beforehand.
Vanilla or chocolate?
You can make your favorite cottage cheese pribináček slightly vanilla, or flavor part of the cream with cocoa and prepare your favorite chocolate variant. Some people are reminded of their childhood by the smell of real vanilla, while others wouldn't even want a cottage cheese dessert without cocoa. Which flavor wins for you? You can add strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas or other favorite fruits to your homemade pribináček. If you want to make a homemade "sponge cake", put baby sponge cakes in the bottom of a glass, cover them with cream and let the dessert sit until the sponge cakes soften. We also recommend adding a little marmalade to make everything special.
