Chocolate Baci di Dama Recipe, a delicious Piedmontese pastry
Chocolate Baci di Dama, a delicious Piedmontese pastry, originated in the city of Tortona. These delicious biscuits with chopped hazelnuts are held together by a chocolate cream.

INGREDIENTS
- flour 250 g
- butter 250 g
- granulated sugar 250 g
- 250 g of hazelnuts
FOR THE CREAM
- butter 250 g
- granulated sugar 150 g
- 1 tablespoon of rum
Procedure for Chocolate Baci di Dama
Preheat the oven to 200 C, arrange the hazelnuts on the baking tray and toast them for 8 minutes.
Let them cool and blend them in a blender.
Pour the melted butter into a bowl, add the flour and mix the mixture, add the granulated sugar and the finely chopped hazelnuts.
Knead the mixture well and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Shape the mixture into balls with your hands and bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 20 minutes.
While the biscuits are baking, mix the room temperature butter and cocoa in a bowl, add the sugar and rum, and mix well until you obtain a smooth, compact cream.
Remove the pastries from the oven and let them cool.
Combine them two by two with the chocolate cream.
The Baci di Dama are ready to be enjoyed.
