Mochi has taken over the dessert landscape in Singapore over the past few years, popping up in waffles, bakes, and now, Christmas log cakes. Carlton Hotel Singapore’s new Berry Mochi Delight ($78+) is a winner in our books; fluffy sponge, a dreamy lemon cream cheese and house-made blueberry compote all wrapped around a QQ mochi centre. On the outside, the mochi log cake is a visual stunner too, cloaked with a scarlet-red 3D effect.

For something more timeless, the Carlton Classic Log Cake ($68+) features crowd-favourite layers of chocolate and hazelnut praline, crowned with adorable festive decorations for extra cheer. Both cakes serve four to six diners.

• 2. Nesuto

Japanese-inspired patisserie Nesuto presents three stunning festive cakes this year. Here’s a teaser: one of them was born in collaboration with Birds of Paradise.

The simplest yet most timeless pick is the Chocolate Pistachio Yule Log ($83): soft chocolate sponge layered with rich ganache and a velvety smooth pistachio cream. For something fruity, consider the Red Berries and Floral Yule Log ($83) instead.

This pretty pink cake combines raspberry chocolate mousse, vanilla rose namelaka, and red berries elderflower compote, carefully wrapped in soft vanilla chiffon. The most exciting one is surely the White Christmas Gelato Log Cake ($108), a joint effort between Nesuto and Birds of Paradise.

You can expect familiar flavours, such as Valrhona Sea Salt Cookies & Cream and pear gelatos, packed in a rich chocolate and spiced gingerbread sponge. Do note that you need to reserve the gelato cake three days in advance!

• 3. Goodwood Park Hotel

Goodwood Park Hotel isn’t just a national monument—it’s also well-known for doling out some of Singapore’s most popular durian desserts. We’ve been to their durian buffet and durian fiesta, so this Christmas, we’re excited to try the Goodwood ‘Mao Shan Wang’ Durian Christmas Log Cake ($156+ for 800g).

The cake is literally shaped like a log, except it’s yellow instead of brown, as it’s covered in creamy durian mousse. Cut a slice, and you’ll be greeted with a swirl of durian cream within!

If you’re not a fan of the pungent fruit, worry not, as there are two other options for your consideration: the Festive Chocolate Log Cake ($88 for 1kg) and Yuletide Chocolate Travel Cake ($78+ for 800g). Pre-order them from now till 26 December.

• 4. Fieldnotes

Fieldnotes returns with two new festive cakes, beautifully crafted to impress your guests at any Christmas gathering. There are four outlets across Singapore at the time of writing, so you probably don’t have to travel too far to get their cakes.

For something tart and tangy, we recommend the Yuzu Cashew Log Cake ($74.12 for 600g): vanilla sponge layered with cashew feuilletine, yuzu cream, cashew mousse, cashew paste, and honey chantilly. An equally delightful treat for both the eyes and palate is the Jasmine Mango Log Cake ($65.40 for 600g), starring jasmine sponge topped with the same floral cream and feuilletine, then finished with sweet mango bits and mango chantilly.

FYI, reserve the cake(s) two days in advance, so the staff can prepare them with the freshest ingredients.

• 5. Alice Boulangerie

Alice Boulangerie is a popular CBD cafe that serves up great savoury dishes, but their second outlet, which houses a bakery cafe, proves that their baked goods are just as outstanding. For something tropical to complement Singapore’s weather, check out Alice’s Christmas Logcake ($117.72 for 1kg), designed to look like a festive train carriage.

This gorgeous cake brings together rich layers of coconut dacquoise, cashew nut, brown sugar sponge, and mango compote. It’s then topped with a zesty passionfruit curd eclair and wrapped in coconut mousse for a tangy finish.

• 6. Patisserie Cle

Helmed by two local pastry chefs who previously worked at Michelin-starred restaurants, Patisserie Cle specialises in French pastries that won’t break the bank. The bakery’s Christmas Wonderland 2025 series consists of six items, including a festive log cake.

You can experience a white Christmas with the Hazelnut Praline Log Cake, a simple yet elegant creation with snowflake accents atop a chocolate sponge cake covered in vanilla mousse and hazelnut ganache. The best part of this dessert is the crunchy praline base, adding a crisp bite that contrasts with the softer elements of the cake.

No one does ice cream cakes better than Swensen’s, and this year, the popular family restaurant has launched three log cakes to celebrate the festive season. All three cakes are priced at $66 each, and if we could only choose one, we’d say go for the Swensen’s Special Log.

You won’t find anything quite like this—it’s made with Swensen’s Special Ice Cream in Strawberry, Vanilla, and Chocoholic flavours, then covered in torched meringue and topped with sweet-tangy raspberry bits. The latter has no added sugar, but still features a rich, decadent ganache crumble base paired with their crowd-favourite Sticky Chewy Chocolate ice cream.

• 8. Cedele

Cedele is back this Christmas with two log cakes: one is a new creation, while the other is a mainstay that’s been around for 28 years. They are both available for delivery or pickup from now till Christmas!

For a taste of Cedele’s timeless tradition, indulge in the Chocolate Flourless Log Cake ($76). But if you want something new, we recommend the newly launched Pistachio Orange Rhapsody Log Cake ($79) instead.

It features an orange sponge cake wrapped in pistachio buttercream, and when you slice into it, you’ll find a pistachio layer with orange yoghurt for a balanced, nutty-tangy finish.

Creme Maison Bakery has a massive following on their Instagram account—over 60K followers at the time of writing—and the bakery offers both self-collection and delivery options. The Noelle Christmas Log Cake ($92.80 for 1.3kg) may look simple at first blush, but don’t be fooled—it serves up to 15 people, so you don’t need to get multiple cakes for larger gatherings. Flavour-wise, expect hazelnut paired with house-made berry compote, lifted with a layer of chocolate feuilletine crunch.

La Levain needs little introduction, as the bakery has already made a name for itself since opening in 2021. For the uninitiated, the cafe-bakery is run by Wythe Ng, an experienced baker who used to lead the pastry team at Bakery Brera and Keong Saik Bakery.
