This Popular JB Mall Reopens With Food Street, Farmers Market And More

If you’re planning a trip to JB soon, make sure to add KIPMall Tampoi to your itinerary.

Located just a quick 15-minute drive from the JB customs, the popular mall has recently reopened after a major revamp. Visitors can now look forward to a refreshed space packed with new dining options, including a food court, food street, farmers market and more. The current exchange rate is RM1 = ~S$0.32 as of 13 February 2026.

For a filling and affordable meal, head to the Jom Makan food court. A standout here is the Western Dapur Adami stall, known for its large plates of chicken and lamb chops. Their Nasi Goreng Cili Padi Grill Chicken (price TBD) is a crowd favourite, starring a huge chicken chop drizzled in a spicy chilli padi sauce, paired with crispy crinkle-cut fries, nasi goreng, and fresh coleslaw.

Don’t miss out on the mall’s new street food stalls selling a wide range of snacks, from sweet to savoury treats. A popular stall is Crispy Hot Rolls, which offers crepes, pratha, and tortilla rolls from just RM6.

Their giant Chicken Ham Cheese Crepes (RM 8) is a must-try, starring sliced chicken ham, oozy cheese, chilli powder, and their special sauce, all in a light and crispy crepe. You can also find stalls with freshly fried snacks such as pisang goreng, curry puffs, ubi goreng, AKA fried cassava, tahu goreng and many more.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, drop by Perniagaan Asamanis for a variety of candies and dried fruits, including hawthorn cubes, preserved mango, and prunes. The mall’s also bringing several popular F&B brands into the mix, including Malaysian fast-food chain Marrybrown, which is known for their signature crispy fried chicken, juicy chicken burgers, and rice meals.

Drop by Zus Coffee and wash everything down with one of their refreshing coffees, including the Malaysia-exclusive Iced Banana Spanish Latte (price TBD), blending rich espresso with sweetened milk and fresh banana. Apart from the food, the mall has given its in-house wet market a complete refresh. Shoppers can now enjoy a spacious, clean, and modern area with stalls offering fresh fruit, veggies, seafood, and meat delivered straight from the farm.
