United Square Food Street Is A Hidden Gem With Chendol Cheesecake And Mentaiko Udon

If you’re a foodie like myself, you would not miss out on the many eateries that are found in the mall. For those who can’t decide on where to eat, head down to the food street at basement one for plenty of good eats including ramen, bubble tea, and jelly cheesecakes! 1.

The broth here is prepared for six hours, and a classic dish to order is their Nori Tama Uma ($16.90++) , which consists of pork-flavoured shoyu soup, grilled thick-cut char siew, an egg, and a heap of ramen noodles. If you need your food with a bit of heat, get their Kara Tama Uma ($16.90++) which comes with the same ingredients in spicy soup.

Don’t forget to add on their Gyoza ($6.90++ for five pieces) that’s known to be especially crispy and juicy! Banh Mi 888 Offering more than 10 varieties of legit Vietnamese dishes on the menu, Banh Mi 888 is the place to get your fix of affordable Vietnamese food.

A classic Vietnamese dish not to be missed is the Fresh Spring Rolls ($6 for two pieces) featuring prawns, pork, and fresh veggies rolled up in a paper-thin skin. In flavours including cheesecake, chocolate, lychee, and mango, starting at $4.90 for two square slices , the jelly cakes are essentially cakes with a crowning layer of jelly.

At United Square, you can get your boba cravings satisfied at TenRen’s Tea . Their signature 913 Oolong Tea ($2.80) is a must-try if it is your first time there.

Some of the more popular options you can look forward to include Beef Udon ($10.90) and Mentai Butter Udon ($9.90) . The stall as well has freshly fried Tempura pieces that range between $1 and $3 to go with your mains!

At $5, their Set A Nasi Lemak comes with the usual suspects of fragrant rice, chicken wing, and an egg. Upgrade to their Set B ($7) for rice, beef rendang, egg, and a side of sayur lodeh. You can as well swap your rice for bee hoon, and add on items such as Otah and Achar at an additional $1.80 each.
