Northern Rivers Lager goes national

A favourite for the local Northern Rivers community for the past two years, Stone & Wood North Rivers Lager is our most sustainable yet, is getting more sustainable and now going national.

Northern Rivers Lager goes national

Northern Rivers Lager is now made with Certified Sustainable hops, Certified Sustainable malt from Voyager Craft Malt in Whitton and malt from Boortmalt, supporting barley growers in the GrainCorp Next program. Together, at least 75% of the grain bill is sustainably sourced, making things easier on the soil and water they’re produced from. Every beer starts its journey on a farm.

This one’s our first with GrainCorp Next – an initiative helping to support growers farm in ways that are better for the land. Aussie growers lead the world in adopting sustainable agriculture and we want to support them to go even further.

So, we’ve teamed up with our supply chain partners, the ones who move the grain, malt it and sell the beer, to help fund on-farm initiatives. Taking inspiration from the region surrounding our home and heartland, Northern Rivers Lager is a bright, crisp beer that’s easy to drink and have yarn over, and one of the most sustainable beers on the market. Stone & Wood Northern Rivers Lager is rolling out nationally now via Liquorland and will continue to be found in the home of Stone & Wood in the Northern Rivers.
