Taco Bell’s New Pink Lemonade-Inspired Baja Blast Has The Internet Very Emotional: ‘Best Day Of My Life’

I have talked about this ad nauseam, so apologies to anyone who already knows my deep, dark soda secret: I hate soda. There is, however, one very important exception.

Baja Blast at Taco Bell can stay. I’ve written about my love for the tropical lime drink before, even gave Baja Midnight a chance when that joined the lineup, and now there’s a new girl in town.

Taco Bell and Rodrigo have teamed up on “You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast,” which combines the familiar tropical lime flavor of Mountain Dew Baja Blast with pink lemonade. It also marks the first-ever pink spin on the Taco Bell staple. “One of my favorite drinks ever is a MOUNTAIN DEW Baja Blast, so I genuinely cannot believe You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast is real,” Rodrigo said in a press release.

Same, Olivia. Same.

The drink gets an early debut August 29 at Live Más Café locations in Southern California, Dallas, Houston, and Las Vegas before rolling out to Taco Bell restaurants nationwide on September 24 for a limited time. Live Más Cafés will also serve a frozen version.

And apparently I am far from the only person taking Baja Blast this seriously. “I’ll be first in line 🫡,” one fan wrote in response to the announcement. “Olivia Rodrigo + Taco Bell = my Roman Empire,” another added, while somebody else went all in with, “hi this is the best day of my life im so excited i love you taco bell i love you olivia rodrigo my favs.”

One particularly concise reaction may have summed it up best: “so actually this is everything to me 😍😍” I’m mostly curious how the pink lemonade will play with my usual Cheesy Gordita Crunch—or, for that matter, the new Tajín items.

For once, I’m very willing to make room for another soda in my life.
