Taco Bell is set to open in the UAE
The popular American fast food chain is set to make its UAE comeback after closing its Dubai stores back in 2012

Taco Bell is set to make its return to the UAE. The iconic American fast food chain, known and loved for its Mexican-inspired eats and celebrity fan base, will open in the UAE through a partnership with Americana Restaurants.
While the UAE will be the first location for Taco Bell under the new partnership, additional GCC countries will be introduced through phased expansion, as per a press release issued on August 28.

If you’re not familiar with Taco Bell, let us give you a quick overview: Taco Bell is the wildly popular American fast food chain that’s been serving up bold, Mexican-inspired cravings since 1962, when it was founded by Glen Bell in California.
Fast forward to today, and it’s grown into a global powerhouse under the Yum! Brands umbrella (the same folks behind KFC and Pizza Hut) with over 9,000 restaurants spanning more than 40 markets worldwide. Think crunchy tacos, loaded burritos, cheesy gorditas, and a menu built for late-night cravings, all wrapped up in the brand’s signature bold flavours and even bolder attitude.
For those who’ve been in Dubai long enough to remember, this won’t be the first time Taco Bell has come to the region. In 2008 the first Taco Bell in Dubai opened at the Dubai Mall, with second and third branches landing at Deira City Centre and Mirdif City Centre in 2010.
But two years later, all three venues had shut down and Taco Bell’s time in the region came to an end. For Taco Bell 2.0, details about when and where we can be getting our hands on the brand’s beloved signatures like the Crunchwrap Supreme and Doritos Locos Tacos remain under wraps for now, but we can’t wait to find out more.
