Good Day Bakery: Popular Taiwanese Bakery With Taro Floss Mochi Rolls And More In Clementi

If you’ve recently returned from Taiwan after your holidays and find yourself missing the baked goods there, you’re in luck! Good Day Bakery is a Taiwanese bakery in Clementi—a great spot to satisfy your Taiwanese food cravings.

At Good Day Bakery, you can enjoy Taiwanese treats that are baked daily using locally sourced ingredients. Here, early risers can get their breakfast fix as early as 8am!

The best part is that the bakery is just a three-minute walk from Clementi MRT Station. A highlight among their bakes is Taro Mochi Rolls, available at $6.50 for three pieces.

Fans of orh nee and mochi would love this treat that features a tiger skin-patterned cake rolled with velvety yam paste, and a centre of savoury meat floss and chewy mochi. While some find the price a tad steep considering its size, multiple reviewers commend its balanced sweetness that’s not too cloying.

Be sure not to miss out on their Meat Floss Cake ($4.80), which comes in a box of four with two different flavours: Seaweed and Black Truffle, the latter being a crowd favourite. Tear open the pastry and you’ll see a rich mayo centre that complements the soft and fragrant cake.

Besides the mochi rolls and floss cakes, the Matcha Red Bean Soft Bun ($3.50) is touted to be really delicious as it’s not overly sweet with a subtle hint of matcha in the dough. But if you can’t get enough mochi, their White Peach ($6.00) and Oreo ($6.00) mochi feature two large pieces of creamy dafuku in a box respectively.

If you’re looking for a light bite, they also have Mochi Biscuits for just $0.50 each! If you’re not a Westie, swing by One18 Bakery instead, where you can enjoy a $29.90 buffet with free-flow pastries and cakes.
