KORIO Opens In Bugis With Popular Brioche Doughnuts And New Beef Brisket Sandwich

KORIO opens second cafe in Bugis with loaded sandwiches

If you love KORIO‘s loaded sammies and doughnuts as much as we do, you’ll want in on this. The popular homegrown brand has opened its second store at Guoco Midtown II, in collaboration with Zouk Group.

This launch follows the launch of their Marina Bay cafe just last December. The new Bugis cafe, which offers both dine-in and takeaway options, is a two-minute walk from Bugis MRT Station. We’re most excited about their new Brisket Sandwich ($18.50), featuring slow-cooked grass-fed beef brisket, pickled red onions, and horseradish sauce, sandwiched between toasted sourdough.

Also exclusive to this outlet is their revamped BLT Sandwich ($16.50): bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, sunny-side up, American cheese, and jalapeno ranch, all held between potato buns. You’ll also find returning favourites such as Mushroom Melt ($16.50), where grilled mushrooms, provolone cheese, egg, arugula, and jalapeno ranch are stacked between two slices of sourdough.

There’s also the outlet-exclusive Grilled Cheese ($15), made with gruyere, cheddar, mozzarella, and caramelised onions, served with a tangy tomato dip. Besides savoury sandwiches, you can look forward to KORIO’s house-made brioche doughnuts here.

These sweet treats undergo an 18-hour fermentation process, resulting in a fluffy crumb and rich flavour. The flavours rotate frequently, though the Honey Sea Salt Doughnut ($5.50) is a long-standing signature that remains on the menu. Pair your sammies and doughnuts with caffeinated pick-me-ups, including Honey Sea Salt Latte ($7.50) and Sparkling Orange Espresso ($7).
