Ingredients

  • 180 g of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 g of vanilla baking powder
  • 140 g of granulated sugar A sachet of vanilla
  • 60 ml of whole milk
  • 60 ml of seed oil for garnish: 400 g of plums
  • 40 g of granulated sugar Water to taste Icing sugar to taste

Preparation of the soft tart

To make this tart, begin by whisking the eggs and sugar until they double in volume. First, slowly add the vegetable oil, then the room-temperature milk. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and vanilla and fold them into the remaining ingredients with a spatula, using bottom-up movements. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured tart pan and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 25 minutes.

Meanwhile, wash the plums thoroughly and remove the stems and central pit. In a large nonstick pan, add the sugar and a small cup of water. Place over low heat and dissolve, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Add the plums, stir, and cover, bringing to a boil. Continue cooking over low heat for about 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the lid, turn off the heat, and let cool.

Remove the tart crust and let it cool completely before unmold, to avoid damaging it. Once cooled, assemble the tart: remove the crust from the mold, fill it with the plum compote, and dust with a little powdered sugar. Serve immediately and enjoy!
