The Best Drag Brunches in Seattle
Only one event combines two of the best words in the English language: drag brunch.
Only one event combines two of the best words in the English language: drag brunch.
An anchor gig for drag queens and a favorite of LGBT+ communities and bachelorette parties everywhere, drag brunches are the also the best way to find yourself screaming along to a Britney Spears song in the middle of the day. Luckily, Seattle is rife with opportunities to see drag queens serve looks with a side of eggs every weekend.
While the entertainment is a main part of the experience, in our humble opinion the food should be on the same plane as the performers. The places on this list are solid food destinations first and foremost, but they also have top-tier entertainment. Bring along enough singles to tip both your server and your queens, and settle in for a real show.
In June 2025 we updated this map to remove some outdated listings and also took off Tacqueria Cantina, which recently closed.
Check the restaurants’ websites and Instagram accounts for the most up-to-date information about drag brunch times, schedules, and performers. As always, this map is organized geographically, not ranked.
Watershed Pub & Kitchen
This North Seattle spot keeps an impressive list of beer and whiskey on hand every day of the week, but the best time to come is when Betty Black hosts her King of Hearts brunch once a month. The menu boasts brewery-focused renditions of typical favorites, like the Chunky Monkey Pancakes with chocolate stout in the batter, or Benedicts served on beer bread. Watershed specializes in bar pies during normal hours, so be sure to order a breakfast pie fold, a unique calzone/quesadilla hybrid stuffed with eggs, cheese, bacon, and other toppings.
Dreamland Bar and Diner
Owner Cera Grindstaff opened Dreamland at the start of the pandemic, and since then the diner’s Dream Girls brunch has become one of the most popular drag brunches in the city. It’s a fully immersive experience when you first step onto Dreamland’s neo-tropical patio, and the menu contains reimagined comfort food classics like salted caramel macchiato French roast and the house version of a Taco Bell Crunch Wrap, filled with tender short rib and served with spicy birria jus. Drag Race alum Irene DuBois is often in the show, and you might luck out and see Bosco pop in on occasion. Be sure to plan your visit well in advance; even with two shows every Saturday and Sunday, Dreamland almost always sells out.
Otter Bar and Burger
Typically a good standby for bar food on a regular day, Eastlake’s airplane-themed Otter Bar and Burger really fills up when it hosts Real Queens once a month. Concepts like “Real County Queens” may dictate a change in music from month to month, but the breakfast staples served here are consistently delicious. Biscuits and gravy, massive breakfast burritos, and crispy chicken fried steak and eggs are uncomplicated but well done.
Unicorn
Typically known for serving corn dogs, funnel cakes, and candy-colored drinks to go with the bar’s circus theme, Unicorn is one of the few places in the area keeping up the tradition of a real brunch buffet. Mimosa Cabaret has been a staple drag brunch on the hill since 2013, and typically features the cast reimagining versions of Broadway musicals for the venue’s colorful basement stage. Be sure to fill up your plate with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and pancakes before the queens come out to avoid a terrible lip-syncing accident.
Rhein Haus Seattle
Capitol Hill’s favorite biergarden is such a massive space, it was bound to get a major event like Glitz ‘n Schnitz. What started as an annual Pride tradition has turned into a quarterly drag brunch where guests can guzzle down pints of beer along with the usual offerings of giant soft pretzels, bratwursts, and other German fare in the early afternoon, all alongside past Drag Race contestants including Willow Pill, Thorgy Thor, and Brita Filter.
The Lumber Yard Bar
Popular White Center gay bar the Lumber Yard doesn’t take anything too seriously, and its weekly Wood Morning brunch is the epitome of its good-time disposition. Just get an order of its “Peencakes”; I’m not gonna tell you what these pancakes are shaped like, but use your imagination.
