Sandwiches from Margot Henderson and a bookable omakase menu - all the restaurants opening in JKS' new Arcade food hall

JKS Restaurants has announced its line-up of nine new restaurant brands for the highly anticipated Arcade food hall (relaunch), set to open on April 22 at Centre Point in London.

“They’re fun, accessible, vibrant and serve food that is familiar but original. We hope to raise the bar in terms of food hall experience in London”

“Over the last 15 months we’ve been working to create the nine new brands,” said JKS co-founder Karam Sethi.

“They’re fun, accessible, vibrant and serve food that is familiar but original. We hope to raise the bar in terms of food hall experience in London”.

Here’s a run-down of what’s to come:

“A North Indian fast food kitchen that showcases the chatpatta flavours of Indian street food – hot, sour, sweet, tangy, salty and smoky”

What to expect: BBQ butter chicken pao; Wagyu keema pao; Masala fries chaat.

Shatta & Toum is a shawarma kitchen from Berenjak founder Kian Samyani. The shawarma is made using khobez bread stuffed with chicken shawarma and marinated lamb doner. If Berenjak is anything to go by, you’ll want to order the whole menu.

What to expect: Chicken and Lamb shawarma wrap; Hatay tepsi kebab; Sigara borek.

“The little sister to Michelin-starred Sabor” by Nieves Barragan and Jose Etura. The menu promises all the Sabor classics you love, served at a Counter for an authentic Spanish experience.

What to expect: Pulpo a la gallega; Arroz negro; Tuna empanadilla; Crisp fried squid bocadillo.

A burger and fried chicken kitchen inspired by diner culture in the USA, developed by Bake Street’s Feroz Gajia.

What to expect: Nashville hot tenders; ‘Hot One’ smashed burger; Jalapeno popper fried chicken bun.

“An elegant sushi bar developed by JKS and founders of Yashin Sushi.” The restaurant also offers a bookable eight-seat counter for a traditional omakase experience, where sushi chefs prepare a tailored menu in front of their guests.

What to expect: Tempura prawn and kumquat sushi sando; Chirashi bowl; Fossil prawn cracker.

“Southern Thai comfort food” is served on the mezzanine level at Arcade’s flagship restaurant. Curries will be made using specially-made fresh curry pastes and herbs, spices, vegetables and fruits grown in the greenhouses at Luke Farrell’s nursery in Dorset.

What to expect: Sour orange ‘Gaeng som’ curry; Dry wok-fried pork ‘kua kling’; stir fried ‘Pad satoor goong’

Street food from the warungs and night markets of Indonesia are the inspiration for Bebek! Bebek! The menu is built around the twice-cooked crispy duck and chicken that Javanese street stalls are famous for, created using fresh Indonesian ingredients and produce grown on chef Luke Farrell’s Dorset farm, Ryewater Nursery.

What to expect: Smashed ‘bebek goreng’ duck; Smashed ‘ayam penyet’ chicken; Beef sate marrangi.

A sandwich and bakery spot open from 8am each morning. Expect an exclusive range of sandwiches from Margot and son Hector Henderson and a range of seasonal pastries from James Lowe’s Flor Bakery. In the evening, the space will transform into Provisions Lates, serving Cocchi negronis and Margot’s Pride hot sandwiches.

What to expect: Margot’s pride ‘annabelle’ smoked ox tongue, Pickled beetroot and horseradish sandwich; Flor Bakery’s lardy bun.

Desserts at Arcade come from the Jelladrome, an eye-catching concession from Bompas & Parr. It plays host to Benham & Froud, the fine British Jelly brand serving architectural trifles layered with jelly, blancmange, biscuit and cream as well as boozy jelly shots.

What to expect: Gin lemon verbena architectural trifle; Marmalade and toast penny lick.

Arcade Food Hall opens on Friday April 22.
