Martha Stewart viaja con huevos duros y ensalada tabbouleh
Martha Stewart lleva su propia comida cuando viaja: huevos duros de su granja, ensalada tabbouleh y un sándwich de salmón ahumado en pan de siete cereales.
Martha Stewart, a New Jersey native, is best known for her culinary talents, from her early catering business to her cookbooks. So, wherever she travels, good food accompanies her, even when she's dining thousands of feet in the air on smoked salmon.
Airplane food has a bad reputation, and Stewart shares that opinion, so she brings her own. As she explained in an interview, her must-have is good hard-boiled eggs: they're fresh from her farm and come from her own hens. Sometimes she brings extra eggs for those traveling with her.
For a long flight, pack a tabbouleh salad, a Mediterranean mix of chopped parsley, bulgur wheat, and vegetables dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. For a more elegant meal, sometimes bring a smoked salmon sandwich on seven-grain bread, and if you prefer something simple, homemade yogurt with apple compote.
With these dishes, neither she nor her companions have to worry about a sad sandwich or a stale roll.
