Deberías trenzar el tocino de tu sándwich BLT
El BLT lleva tocino, lechuga, tomate y mayonesa sobre pan tostado, y el tocino es el ingrediente que más importa en el sándwich.
The BLT sandwich is simple in both name and preparation: toasted bread layered with creamy mayonnaise, crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato. All the ingredients are equally important in the name, but the bacon is the undisputed star. Nobody eats a BLT for the lettuce.
Much of the flavor depends on the preparation. The bread must be firm enough to hold the filling without falling apart from moisture, the lettuce must be the right size, and the bacon must be well-cooked to impart a smoky flavor. If the bacon is too thick or undercooked, it will fall out of the sandwich or make it fall apart.
A bacon braid or lattice is key. Instead of cooking the strips and layering them, they are braided together to form a square. Then they are placed on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and baked at 200°C until cooked through.
In a video for Food and Wine, culinary director Justin Chapple recommends placing a cooling rack over the bacon strips before putting them in the oven. This prevents the bacon from curling and results in a uniform, flat braid that cooks evenly.
When you assemble the sandwich, every bite will have bacon. As Justin says in his video, "There's bacon everywhere." The braid also works well in a breakfast sandwich, on avocado toast where it adds a crunchy touch, or on a burger night.
