Another huge sandwich chain is set to open in Calgary next week

Hot on the heels of Jimmy John’s, which opened in the University District this week, Jersey Mike’s is set to open in YYC on Wednesday, Sept. 9. The beloved sandwich chain’s first Cowtown outpost is located at 9631 Macleod Tr.

SW, an area that has become something of a hot spot for international chains, with Chick-fil-A, Krispy Kreme, and the newly opened Shake Shack drive-thru all within a few steps. >

To celebrate its grand opening, Jersey Mike’s will host a fundraiser between Sept. 9 and 18, where guests who have received a special fundraising coupon before opening are able to make a minimum $5 contribution to Make-A-Wish Canada in exchange for a regular sub. Known for its legendary subs, Jersey Mike’s offers both fresh sliced cold and grilled hot sandwiches, with a huge variety of toppings.

They can also be ordered “Mike’s Way,” adding onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil, and spices. First opening on the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike’s has since expanded to more than 4,000 locations worldwide.
