Simple paella with chicken and chorizo

  • 1 rote Zwiebel
  • 1 rote Paprikaschote
  • 2 Knoblauchzehe
  • 100 g Chorizo-Wurst
  • 2 El Olivenöl
  • 6 Hähnchenkeule
  • 250 g Risotto-Reis
  • 1 Tl geräuchertes edelsüßes Paprikapulver
  • 750 ml Hühnerbrühe
  • 8 Stiele Petersilie
  • 1 Bio-Zitrone
  • 100 g Erbse
Method · 35 min
  1. Rote Zwiebel in feine Würfel schneiden. Rote Paprika putzen und in Würfel schneiden. Knoblauchzehen in hauchdünne Scheiben schneiden. Chorizo-Wurst in Würfel schneiden.
  2. Olivenöl in einer Pfanne mit hohem Rand erhitzen und küchenfertige Hähnchenkeulen von jeder Seite 3–5 Minuten goldbraun anbraten, herausnehmen.
  3. Chorizo in der Pfanne etwa 2–3 Minuten anbraten. Zwiebel, Paprika und Knoblauch zugeben und mischen. Risotto-Reis und Paprikapulver zugeben, untermischen und kurz andünsten. Hühnerbrühe zugießen und unterrühren. Hähnchenkeulen strahlenförmig auf die Reis-Gemüsemischung legen. Paella aufkochen lassen und zugedeckt bei geringer Hitze 15 Minuten köcheln.
  4. Inzwischen Petersilie waschen, Stiele abschneiden, Blättchen fein hacken. Bio-Zitrone abwaschen und achteln.
  5. Tiefgefrorene Erbsen in die Pfanne geben und Paella weitere 5 Minuten garen. Fertige Paella mit Petersilie bestreuen und zusammen mit den Zitronenstücken servieren.

- Finely dice the red onion.

Clean the red bell pepper and cut it into cubes. Slice the garlic cloves into paper-thin slices.

Cut the chorizo ​​sausage into cubes.

Heat olive oil in a high-sided pan and fry ready-to-cook chicken drumsticks for 3–5 minutes on each side until golden brown, then remove.

Fry the chorizo ​​in a pan for about 2-3 minutes. Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and mix. Add the risotto rice and paprika powder, mix in, and sauté briefly.

Pour in the chicken broth and stir it in. Arrange the chicken drumsticks in a radial pattern on top of the rice and vegetable mixture. Bring the paella to a boil, then cover and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.

- Meanwhile, wash the parsley, cut off the stems, and finely chop the leaves.

Wash the organic lemon and cut it into eighths. - Add the frozen peas to the pan and cook the paella for another 5 minutes.

Sprinkle the finished paella with parsley and serve with the lemon pieces.
