One Michelin-starred dim sum restaurant from Hong Kong, Tim Ho Wan PEAK, sells steamed dishes, rice, congee, noodles, fried dishes, and desserts at wallet-friendly prices. Their signature Baked BBQ Pork Buns ($10++) are not to be missed, and mains such as Hong Kong Style Shrimp Wanton Noodle Soup ($12.80++) and Pork Congee with Century & Salted Eggs ($10.80++) are worth a try too. IG-worthy European-inspired gourmet pastry and dessert joint, Origin+Bloom, is helmed by executive pastry chef Antonio Benites, who was formerly under notable names Joel Robuchon and Pierre Herme. Their gourmet sandwiches are a hit, especially the Early Riser ($9), featuring thick French ham, scrambled egg, cheddar cheese, and salted butter encased in a chewy brioche.

Another MBS food spot to check out is Ippudo, a famous Japanese ramen eatery with over 100 stores worldwide. They’re known for their signature tonkotsu broth ramen! Their Shiromaru Motoaji Special ($25.50++) and Akamaru Shinaji Special ($26.50++) are both perennial favourites, with the latter being a slightly spicier version of the former.

If you prefer something unique, go for their Chicken Shoyu Tamago ($21++) or Nirvana NY ($19++). The latter features a flavourful plant-based broth topped with assorted vegetables and a drizzle of fragrant onion oil.

Like Spago and Lavo, CÉ LA VI Singapore is located on the 57th floor of MBS, and the view from the top is absolutely stunning. Thankfully, some of the dishes here won’t break the bank, and the food is great as well.

Mains include the Grass Fed Beef Burger ($30++), featuring 150g of beef with Korean chilli powder aioli and bacon, and the Impossible Burger ($26++) that comes with a side of kimchi and chipotle aioli sauce. For drinks, try their signatures such as A Trip to Japan ($25++), comprising a mix of whisky, yuzu, rose syrup, lemon and honey for a melody of citrusy flavours.
