Ribelli, the Italian restaurant at 25hours, reopens in Vienna after a renovation
The Ribelli restaurant, at the 25hours Hotel near the MuseumsQuartier, has reopened with a concept inspired by Italian spas.
Ribelli's redesign draws inspiration from Italian seaside resorts: sun, aperitivo, and long afternoons by the sea. BWM Designers & Architects was already familiar with the building, having recently redesigned the hotel lobby.
The blue and yellow tones give the space a fresh feel. According to Erich Bernard of BMW, the design aims to convey the lightness of a day by the sea.
The change goes beyond the interior. Ribelli aims to be an ideal spot for lunch, aperitifs, or group dinners, so the revised menu focuses on sharing plates, in addition to Italian classics and Neapolitan pizzas.
Among the options are caponata with eggplant, olives, and stracciatella, and fritto misto with squid, sardines, and pike-perch. Those who prefer a main course will find panzerotti with mushrooms and sage, veal escalope alla milanese, or chicken with caponata and polenta. The pizza menu includes new combinations, such as pizza bianca with friarielli and salsiccia.
The menu is rounded out with a selection of wines and spritzers, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Managing Director Patricia Rzehatschek describes the relaunch concept as "sunshine, rhythm, and optimism."
Guests can now test whether the beach feeling works even without the sea.
