A First Look At Yoajung: Korean-Famous Frozen Yoghurt Chain Opens In Somerset

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been excited for a Korean chain opening in Singapore. Yoajung, a popular frozen yoghurt chain that Koreans fell head over heels for in 2024, is finally opening its first store in Singapore at *SCAPE.

Fun fact: the brand name is an abbreviation of the phrase “best yoghurt and ice cream formula” in Korean! Mark your calendar: the famous Korean froyo chain is officially opening on 5 September 2025.

Besides all the celebrity endorsements, Yoajung rose to fame because every froyo bowl is customisable, with plenty of toppings to choose from. The yoghurt ice cream base is said to be creamy with a good balance of tart and sweet flavours.

There are two sizes for the frozen yoghurt: small ($3) and medium ($5). After choosing the portion size, you can opt for a chocolate shell for an additional $2.

This comes in four flavours: mint, mango, chocolate, and strawberry milk. The best part is picking all your toppings for your dessert bowl.

With over 30 variations in Singapore, the honeycomb is arguably the most iconic ingredient that sets Yoajung apart from other froyo chains in Korea. If you’re wondering how honeycomb tastes with frozen yoghurt, imagine gooey, melted Honey Stars.

This was delicious, but we can’t deny that $7 for a single serving of honeycomb got us wide-eyed. We got two small bowls as the medium-sized bowl wasn’t ready during our visit.

For the first bowl, we added Oreo O’s Cereal ($1.50), Honey Comb ($7), and Banana ($1.50), while our second bowl comprised Dalgona Candy ($1.50), Brown Rice Crunch ($1.30), and Blueberries ($3.50). Our first bowl amounted to $13, and the second bowl was $9.30.

There are so many other toppings to choose from, including Mochi Cube ($2), Coconut Crunch ($2), Strawberry ($3.50), and Mint Popping Candy ($2). Froyo isn’t all that Yoajung offers—acai bowls seem to be a new hit.

DIY a bowl with nuts, fruits, and cereals. There are three sizes available: small ($8), medium ($13), and single to-go cup ($13.90).

If you don’t want a chocolate shell ($1.30), go straight to the toppings. We recommend a scoop of Chia Pudding ($1.50) to mellow down the sweet acai base, followed by some Shredded Coconut ($1.30), Shine Muscat ($2.30), and Choco Granola ($1.30) for a bit of crunch.

This acai was on the sweeter side, but smooth and creamy. Yoajung is on the second floor of *SCAPE, a quick four-minute walk from Somerset MRT Station.

It operates as a grab-and-go kiosk, but there are standing tables outside for you to enjoy the dessert bowls at your own pace. In related news, popular Aussie froyo chain Yo-Chi is now in Singapore.
