Lolo, the new film by José Pizarro in London

Lolo, the new film by José Pizarro in London

José Pizarro continues to expand his presence in London. The chef from Extremadura, awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic for his work promoting Spanish gastronomy, has just opened Lolo, a restaurant open from breakfast to dinner where he aims to highlight the social aspect of gastronomy.

Pizarro already had several restaurants in the English capital

José Tapas Bar, Pizarro, José Pizarro Broadgate, The Swan Inn, José Pizarro and The Poster Bar

The new Lolo is located on Bermondsey Street in London, just a few meters from José Tapas Bar and Pizarro restaurant, and is open continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. For breakfast, they offer sandwiches such as beef with melted cheese and candied green peppers, 5J ham with cheese and truffle, or tuna with tomato and watercress, as well as various egg dishes, pastries, and fruit.

The lunch and dinner menu consists of Spanish tapas classics such as gildas or pickled mussels with chips, salads such as octopus salad with roasted tomato or white bean salad with smoked eggplant, gourmet tinned goods, cheese boards, cured meats and salted fish, and elaborate dishes that include some of Pizarro's favorites as a diner, such as Gadira tuna loin tartare with peach, Mediterranean red prawn carpaccio with orange and chili pepper, or Iberian pork stew made with its own EVOO.

For drinks, there's a focus on Spanish wines, but also on cocktails.

It has a capacity for 46 diners and features a bar area for quick meals and more informal gatherings.

"I'm delighted to bring Lolo to Bermondsey Street, as a place to eat all day is exactly what the locals needed. The menu features dishes straight from my home kitchen, and I'm passionate about bringing these recipes to life at Lolo," says the chef from Cáceres.
