Los Marinos José tops the European list of casual restaurants

The Opinionated About Dining (OAD) guide has selected 706 restaurants as the best casual dining spots in Europe, and 316 of them are in Spain. In fact, the list is topped by Los Marinos José, owned by Pablo Sánchez, a temple of fish and seafood located in Fuengirola (Málaga), which has just reopened after extensive renovations.

Completing the podium are D'Berto (O Grove, Pontevedra), by Marisol Domínguez, a seafood restaurant that pays homage to the best product of the Galician coast and Elkano, by Aitor Arregui, in Getaria (Guipúzcoa), another master of seafood products with the grill as the central focus.

Among the top ten are also Güeyu Mar (Abel Álvarez, Ribadesella, Asturias) with its selection of fish and seafood from the Cantabrian Sea, the Mannix roast suckling lamb restaurant (Gemma García, Campaspero Valladolid), the signature cuisine based on local produce at Askua (David Vázquez, Valencia) and the Alameda grill (Tomas Fernández and Esther Álvarez, Fuenmayor, La Rioja).

The launch of OAD's European casual dining list, by Steve Plotnicki, serves as a warm-up before the announcement of the new ranking of the Best Restaurants in Europe 2024 from this guide on June 17 at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid hotel.
