The owners of Lagarde bring a welcoming French bistro to Milton.
Lagarde American Eatery closed after a year in Milton's Crabapple district, and its owners replaced it with the French bistro Resto L'Antoinette.
“In our ongoing effort to better meet the preferences of our community, we found that Lagarde Milton wasn’t quite hitting the mark,”
Chef Jamie Adams and Leonardo Moura, owners of Lagarde, the Italian restaurant il Giallo, and G's Pizza, believe that Resto L'Antoinette is a better fit for the Milton and Alpharetta community. The original Lagarde location in Chamblee remains open.
“In our ongoing effort to better serve our community’s preferences, we discovered that Lagarde Milton wasn’t quite meeting them,” Moura explained to Eater. “Our customers, a mix of seasoned travelers and local residents, were looking for something more sophisticated. We believe this change gives us the opportunity to become the go-to spot for those seeking a touch of distinction and the authentic Buckhead experience.”
The restaurant is named after Moura's wife, and the French bistro pays homage to the many extraordinary women in the lives of him and his partners. Appetizers include duck confit, mussels in white wine sauce, and sliced salmon cooked in Armagnac sauce. Main courses feature steak with fries, gnocchi stuffed with sweet peppers, and fillet of sole with browned butter sauce.
For dessert, there are seasonal fruit tarts and flambéed banana crème brûlée, and the wine and cocktail list has French influences. Resto L'Antoinette, on Heritage Walk, is open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner and drinks from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
