Seng Hiang Bak Chor Mee Opens New Stall At Lucky Plaza With Famous Soup BCM

Fans of the famous hawker stall Seng Hiang Bak Chor Mee won’t have to travel all the way to the East for their BCM fix, as they’ve just opened a new stall in Orchard!

Conveniently located in Lucky Plaza’s Kimly food court, the new outlet offers several types of bak chor mee with dumplings, meatballs and more. For the uninitiated, the original hawker stall at Bedok 85 Fengshan Food Centre has long been known for its comforting soup-based bak chor mee.

Since opening in 1985, the popular stall, often touted as Bedok 85 bak chor mee, has won over the hearts of many, often attracting snaking queues during peak hours. You can’t miss out on their Signature Bak Chor Mee ($7.80), featuring firm, springy mee kia, juicy minced pork, and crispy pork lard, all in a rich, aromatic broth simmered with pork bones, garlic, and minced meat.

FYI, while they’re famous for their soup-based BCM, you can also have yours served dry at no additional cost. This version tosses the same noodles in a spicy-savoury chilli sauce. If you’ve got a bigger appetite, go for their Dumpling Bak Chor Mee ($6.50), starring four silky and meaty house-made dumplings, each filled with a generous amount of juicy minced pork.

There’s also the Meatball Bak Chor Mee, available in Small ($3.80) and Large ($5.80) portions. This rendition comes with nine hefty pork meatballs, which the staff makes by hand daily.

Seng Hiang Bak Chor Mee’s new Orchard stall is located on the sixth floor of Lucky Plaza, a quick two-minute walk from Orchard MRT Station. In related content, check out our guide to the best food in Orchard for all budgets.
